The Way To A Man's Heart Is Through His Stomach

Haha, actually it's just another cooking post. But just to add some freshness on the introduction, chewahhh...

Feel like posting something "relaxing" and no need to use brains to think what and how to write kinda thingy.

Braised chicken and mushroom with sesame oil & ginger (mayau keong tungku gai)

Stir-fried "pear" melon with "har mai" (dried shrimps), fried fuzhuk and fish paste
*The melon looks like a pear, and it's not "see kua" or "jit kua" or "seng kua",
so I also don't know what "kua" is this*
Minced pork steamed egg
"Harm choy" ABC soup

  2. this meal very "foong foo" lor, i like.. the gravy from the chicken sure very good to go with rice (sorry ah, i may not eat the chicken because i prefer filet or chicken breast one), the melon and fuchuk would be good for me, the soup also very nourishing.. but are you sure that one is steam egg?? haha, looks like "yam cake" to me lor, or maybe it's the photo only, hahaha~~ :D

    1. Eh, fillet or chicken breast very rough one wor the texture. So when you eat in KFC, you only eat breast lor? If I eat in KFC, I will always order two thighs, haha.

Eh, that one is really steamed egg with minced pork la.. Yeah, it's the photo angle and lighting and all lor... No canggih camera ma.

  4. Your mood must be happier these days to start cooking happy meals! My friend's mother was once a Cooking Class Sifu in Penang and I remembered hearing her say that good chefs at home will be able to tame their hubby to come home everyday with all the good dishes she prepared for him. Many agreed with her but I would suggest that all the dishes and drinks you prepare for the family would be good to add in good mantras! You can chant OM MANE PADME HUM into the food 7 times and all will be safe & happy. Your food will taste more delicious too!

  5. Your minced pork steamed egg looked so white and I thought it was Tau Hoo Fah! Muahahahahaha.. I think it would be nice to throw in Century eggs and salted duck egg yolk to add in. It will become the Emperor's Dish eventually! I love them!
