Steamed Cupcakes Again?

Sometimes the TV works, sometimes it doesn't.

G is a very sticky baby and he glues to me like a koala. I cannot do anything with him around, not even go pee or poo, really! If I really need to poo, I need to open the toilet door wide, and he would wait faithfully in front of me, watching me! Yes, watching me poo.

Anyway, on one "peaceful & quiet" morning (coz both Kz & G are not fighting), I was feeling "itchy" to steam cupcakes again, this time not using Milo, but cheese as I have one slice of cheese left in the fridge. Could have just eaten it by myself, but like I said, I was feeling "itchy". I "invented" and "agak-agak" in my ingredients (again), and came up with my steamed cheese cupcakes

For ahem, presentation and also to attract Kz, I topped the cupcakes with chocolate chips before steaming.

Kids are easy to please (in Kz's case, if there are Kinder-egg, Koko Crunch or trucks, or anything chocolate). Kz looks very happy with the cake.

I'm not praising myself, but if you see him eating something, means that something is good.

Fast forward, ok, time to nap. Zzzzzz. Sleep longer, babies, kay? And mummy can finally have some me-time and peace.

    1. Kz is a picky eater.. Very fussy.. He doesn't eat much, basically surviving on milk everyday.. But if he eats, means it's good, hehe..

    1. Simple steamed cakes only.. Flour, cooking oil, sugar, milk, 1 egg and any flavour of your choice - Milo, banana, (cream) cheese or Sunquick concentrate, your choice. Then you have instant steamed orange (or banana) cake!

  8. there are always times we feel like doing something different.. and of course when the "ling gam" and the motivation comes, never let it stop!! go full force because rarely we will be having such a big urge to do something right?? of course, small things or big things also the same lah, just the scale is different only..

  9. hahaha, cheese = cheddar slices!! i think you really stock a lot of cheese in your fridge right?? because your boys both love them, and i think you love them also because you are the one who cooks all those "cheesy" stuffs for them, haha.. is it maybe because of cheese that K finds the food nice??

  10. oh, cute cute little cupcakes, looks a lot nicer with those chocolate chips lah.. and why you didn't save some of those cheese to put them on top, so that when melted they give a nice crusty topping on the cupcakes?? but like you always say, eat already also become the same output, so nvm lah, you like you sukak mah, and as long as your boy eats it..

    1. Yep, hubby says the same thing.. He said once and for all, "chuet" (kejam) one time, then G won't be so manja and sticky anymore lor.. But I "mm seh tak" do like that wor, then hubby said, ok, your problem, sigh..

Oh yes, I love cheddar cheese slices.. i have jumbo packs in the fridge.. I buy Emborg brand.. Call me cheapo, it's cheap and have more cheese.. I seldom mix cheese into noodles liao.. Kz is more into coup and assorted balls now.. I know it's not good, but it's just once a week, teehee..

Eh, the one zzz at the bottom is Kz.. Whereas the one zzz on the bed is G.. Yep, Kz hugs his kangaroo to sleep.. That's his kangaroo's tail :)

    1. Yep, purposely agak-agak for just 3-4 cupcakes, else, scared cannot finish leh, coz hubby doesn't really take cakes and all.. I myself don't really like steamed cakes, coz the texture is like "fatt koh"..

  13. I can related to that... Aden is also very sticky, your boy consider ok already, at least he can sit there watching you poo. Aden, on the other hand, cannot sit still, he will sure come to me and look into the toilet bowl kepo... =_=
Now I don't care already, let him cry outside... I'll just shut the door. Sometimes he behaves, will just sit outside waiting for me....

    1. I hope as he grows bigger, he'll not be so sticky lor, else, really cannot do anything leh.. Wana stand up do something, then the "sound" will come, and I have to sit down again.. if I ignore, he will cry, then cough, then gag, then vomit.. Then, I have to clean up..

  14. yes, kids can be very sticky at times. But what to do. As a mum, we need to make sure they are happy and well fed.

    1. Very true.. G is more sticky, whereas Kz is more independent.. G doesn't like the TV and nothing can work.. I have to just sit near to his side all the time!

  15. Last time my brother was also sticky but he grew out of it i don't think need to be chuet. Just give it more time, your son will grow out of it when he grows older.

  16. I like the way you make steamed cup cakes. Agak agak but still tasty and most importantly your son loves to eat it.

    1. Yeah, all agak-agak, no measurement.. If the batter feels dry and sticky, then just add more milk.. If too mily or watery, add more flour, teehee..

  24. My kids are picky with what they eat and use. I always use quality things for example Panasonic water heater so that they can use it safely and easily. Speaking of this, I need some info for panasonic water heater repair services available in Klang Valley.
