Class Party

Just a short post to tell you that Kz had his year end class party last Friday, and I made potato and egg salad with cherry tomatoes. I know (most) kids don't like tomatoes, but I thought a little red would look really nice on top of the plain salad.

I also prepared some goodies for the teachers. I packed a lolli-towel and heart-shaped soaps with a small sweet note inside. The lolli-towels are actually face towel wrapped in the shape of a lollipop. I bought them at a (wedding) favour shop.

Ta-daa, the goody bags for teachers.

Ok, bye!

    1. The potato and egg salad is very simple to make, that's why I choose to make it.. Rather than making sandwiches (have to cut in triangular shape), or baking cupcakes, etc..

  2. I can just like that put the tomatoes into my mouth and eat, hehe...

  14. Reminds me of my own year end class party! My mom always make egg sandwich for me to bring, same thing every year! She used butter and lots of pepper to mix the smashed up egg together instead of mayo, and us kids love it!
The teachers will be syok to receive goodie bags! Hopefully they will treat your Kz well next year :D

    1. I usually mash eggs with butter, mayo and pepper together.. Hmm, after reading your comment, I will try with just butter and pepper.. I also don't like to use too much mayo, it makes the bread soggy..

  19. Lovely gifts for the teachers. A very thoughtful gifts.

Yup, most kids do not like tomatoes but how come they love to bite the red cherries on birthday?? Sweeter maybe. But tomato cherries are mostly sweeter and taste better than the normal tomatoes.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, I was thinking the same too.. Maybe the cherry on the cake looks more pretty and attractive? Coz it's on a cake, and all kids love cake.. Haha..

  20. So sweet of you to give gifts to all the teachers. I am sure they like it as you gave some useful things. Did the children finish all the salad?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think they could finish all the food, kids just want to play, and eat candies, haha.. I think most of the cooked food like bihun, salad, fried rice, sausages, what-not all packed home by the teachers, teehee..

  21. Nice and well done! The lolli towel looks so nice and sweet!

  22. Yeah, the red provides a very nice contrast, otherwise the egg salad would look monotone.

I like having tomatoes though, it provides a nice acidic burst, although I know I didn't like them as a kid. Haha.

Wow! Towel lollipops! I've never seen those before...do you drop them into a bucket of water so it becomes full size e.g. like the t-shirts they sell that's the size of a coin but expands to a medium.

    1. I didn't open up the packaging and tried it on water, hehe.. I bought ngam-ngam for the teachers, maybe 1 or 2 extra, just in case.. So I didn't open up and use one for myself :)

    2. Haha! No worries!

I was just wondering coz I got a tshirt like that before - it was a souvenir and it was amazing to me at the time coz it expand maybe 40 times the original size! :)
