  3. Hola! Yesterday I was just thinking of buying luncheon meat to eat. I planned to fry them in my omelette with corns thrown in and smear with tomato ketchup. That is the only bachelor cooking I knew. ***shy***
Normally I bought Ma Ling brand because it sounds safe after hearing horror stories that certain brands used other meat to mince them with pork. I heard one brand added dogs and cats too... Faints!

How long will 7 tins last you??

    2. Aiyor this kiasu uncle. So many people ate canned luncheon meat and died happily at old age like my mum. Nothing to do with the luncheon meat unless hair loss as rumored.

    1. Yes, I scoop out the whole thing and chuck into a bowl, I eat with fork.. I can eat half now. then put in fridge, eat the remaining half later (but on the same day).. No rice, no bread..

    2. Oh, I had to reread your post coz I didn't see you mention eating it raw, it was the hashtag which I always have trouble reading (long ones). Interesting! Just eating it raw like that with nothing else. I don't think I can unless I'm hungry since I don't really like luncheon meat anyway (not ever, even when I was a kid).

    1. I eat it raw, straight from the can.. But usually, we will fry with egg la..

    2. Seriously? You eat this raw? I know it's cooked already but it doesn't seem to taste nice straight out of the can.

  14. Wow! That's A LOT of luncheon meat! I'll be sick if I eat that much. Haha. Seriously, I haven't eaten it in a long time. I don't think I can eat half a can like you but I can maybe eat 1/4 but I wouldn't want it for a very long time. I don't usually even chose fried luncheon meat at chap fan places.

The abalone looks good though. Haha! It'll be nice with Maggi mee. Trust me, it seems like a waste but it'll be a delicious waste. It'll not be a waste if you eat and enjoy it anyway.

    1. Yup, I agree, anything that masuk our tummy, won't be wasted la.. But I'm thinking of steamboat.. Pour the gravy into the steamboat soup, yummzz too..

    2. Yeah, that would be really nice too! Steamboat, don't need to cook it for very long (actually these canned stuff are already cooked anyway) - just heat for a while and I'm sure it'll be very nice.

    1. Yup, I like it deep fried too, but at home, if I'm lazy, I'll just scoop with spoon, cut into chunks or pieces, put on bread and eat with butter, didn't even fry them.. haha..

    1. Hi Esther.. Yeah, am controlling now, but when I don't know what to cook, or don't know what to eat, or sien with eating (normal food) already, I'll automatically think of luncheon meat, damn, haha.. 1 can is RM6.70 from my mum's regular mini mart.. If you buy from outside shopping mall's non-halal dept, it's RM10-12 per can..
