Photos Taken During CNY

Don't worry, not gonna bore you with report-duty details. Just to keep a record, and show off my boys.

Chor 1 - Went to mil's house in the morning, visited a relative after that, went home for the boys to nap, back to mil's house for dinner. Done.

Chor 2 - Went to my parents' place for lunch, back home for the boys to nap, then to my mil's place for dinner. Done.
*Psst, please ignore the dog at the back.

Chor 3 - Hosted a mini gathering for the in-laws. They came around 12pm, left around 7pm. I cooked - roast chicken, cream sauce spaghetti, potato-egg-bacon salad and cheesecake for desserts. Then they gambled whole day. After they left, I vacuumed and mopped and washed the toilets.

Chor 4 - Went to visit hubby's boss in Klang, and stayed home after that. Done.

Chor 5 - Sent the boys to the daycare (yep, they opened already), while me and hubby went shopping and paktor, yay! Took this photo after we got back from the daycare.

Chor 6 til 9 - Start work already, nothing much to report. Everything back to normal, go to work, come back, tapau dinner, sleep.

Chor 10 - Steamboat at my sil's house, so this was taken at their living room.

A few minutes after taking the family photo, Kz ran around the house and slipped and fell and knocked his head. Look at his "bungalow" (hou mou lau). Ouch !!! I quickly applied some tea tree oil, and the bump subsided after a while, phew!

Chor 11 - Resting and relaxing at home is the best. Nobody cares if I walk around naked or fart loudly while cooking.

Chor 14 - Last day of CNY. Boiled soup the night before (Chor 13), and "lou tong sik farn" (rice with soup) only for dinner on Chor 14.
Soup ingredients: Pork ribs, chicken carcass, white radish, carrots, wolfberries, red dates, dried oysters and dried scallops.

Ok bye!

Sunday

Lately not in the mood for blogging but of course I'll still post something to make it going. Just to show you all my simple Sunday. I know not the first time I blog about Sunday, with the same title, but I think this is slightly something different.

Made cheese omelette for the boys, served with yoghurt, and oooohhh wafer sticks for Kz. I used 3 eggs and 2 slices of cheddar for the omelette.

They love it and Kz finished his breakfast! Then my omelette must be good. No, very good!

Lunch is noodles with old cucumber soup and assorted balls and sausages.

They took their nap as usual and when they woke up, hubby and I brought them downstairs to the playground.

And some cycling.

No swimming. Just playing with water...

and drinking water from the pool.

We went out for dinner and I wanted simple Western food.

Salad that comes with our main dish.

Mushroom soup, this one I like, doesn't taste like instant canned ones with a lot of water added. This one is full of herbs and spices, very creamy too.

Some sausage...

and nuggets for biting.

Ooooo and beef meatballs with mash too.

Here comes the main course. Carbonarra for me.

Roasted whole spring chicken for hubby.

And fish &chips for picky eater Kz.

Buurrrppp. Ok bye!

New Year's Day

Since everyone is posting about New Year and all, I also want to do the same. Just a short and simple post on what I did on New Year.

We went to Ikea and IPC, and while the three boys were walking happily in front, Princess Ribbon the "maid" tagged followed behind to push the stroller, carry their bags, water bottles and of course, to snap pictures, haha.

G made a scene before we left Ikea, showed tantrums and all.

He won in the end! See the new soft toy? He got hold of this "sausage dog" at the Ikea check out area - RM23.90.

Happy New Year, many more good things to come, and ok bye!

Simple Christmas

Not too late to post about how I spent my Christmas, afterall we have 12 days of Christmas :)

Ok, this was how I spent my simple Christmas. We went to Midvalley for some shopping, and then brunch. We decided to eat at Manhattan Fish Market, since it's located at ground floor and we didn't need to carry the stroller up and down the escalator or waiting for the lift.

Usually I would order their clam chowder but that day, I decided to try their beetroot soup. We had the fried stuffs platter, complete with fish, shrimp, scallops, squid and fries. We also ordered the mac & cheese and cheesy fries for the boys.

Some wefie with the boys.

Weekends? Same boring stuff. Made breakfast for the boys, cereals and raisins.

Also made some steamed condensed milk cakes.

Lunch? Same old thing - yee mein with ABC soup and hotdogs, heh!

Ok, bye!

Our Sunday

Report duty! Just to report to you my once-in-a-blue-moon Sunday. We brought the boys to the mall last Sunday for some fun, play and walk. We don't usually go out on weekends because hubby sometimes needs to go to the site to check on his work. So when he said we would go out that day, I jumped up and down like a jakun mad woman and felt so excited, more excited than the boys!

Call me cheapo but I don't think the boys are ready for big playlands like the Mega Kids or Kidzania, so we brought them to the (economical) mini playland located just outside Aeon Big (previously known as Carrefour) at Mid Valley mall. First 20 minutes is RM5 only per kid. So why not? Two boys cost only RM10 for about 20-30 minutes.

Let's take a selfie first, sorry for the blurry picture.

The boys were shy and quiet initially, and stuck to one corner only reading books and playing masak-masak (What? Masak-masak? What the....), but thank God after a while, they warmed up and started to be more adventurous. Forgive me, but I'm a kiasu mum, if they just read books or play balls or masak-masak, then my money's not gonna worth it.

I have mild OCD, but I felt ok when Kz did this. At least my money's worth it.

Ok, 20 minute's up! Time to go. More than that, there's additional charges (told you I'm a cheapo mum).

We went to Chilis for brunch - my favourite place ever since I have kids because kids eat free there (accompanied by adult meals of course). I ordered fried chicken tenders (with fries) and cheesy quesadillas for the boys.

We ordered creamy chicken and mushroom soup, eggrolls for starter, beef fajitas and I had old-timer cheese burger with beef chilli and mashed potatoes. The burger is missing from the picture, but the mash is there - I pounced on the burger like a hungry lion when it arrived.

Left the mall at 12.15pm. Yep, really. Reached at 10.30am and left at 12.15pm. With kids, everything has to be well planned and FAST - before they get restless and show tantrums (it happens EACH time). In this case, we've planned (in the car) to head straight to the play land first, for the kids to play (for a while) and then have a nice brunch at Chilis, then go home!

Farm In The City

It was Sunday. The time was 10.45am. Hubby was lying on the bed, Kz was jumping on him up & down, up & down. G just woke up from his morning nap. I was nagging Kz to stop jumping on the bed and to watch out for G, who was slowly crawling up to the bed as well. Hubby said "It's ok, let him be, it's family day". Family day? Rang a bell. Why don't you take us out, I asked. Where, he asked. Hmm, Farm In The City? Not very far from us. Ok, let's go, he said!

We reached after 25 minutes drive.

We didn't take the stroller. So I used the "kangaroo pouch" to carry G around. Ok, sorry for being long-winded, it's called baby-wearing ~ Carrier.

Kz had fun seeing turtles, birds, fishes, rabbits, guinea-pigs, ponies, reptiles.

I was sweating so I didn't pay attention to the animals. I was just hoping to go home as soon as possible, but I didn't whine or complain, because I was the one who wanted to come. So not many pictures ya, sorry.

Oohh, a family photo with the giant tortoise. We chose this photo to be converted into a mug as a souvenir before we left the place.

Ok, bye!

A Simple Birthday

G turned one two weeks ago and Kz just turned three. We had a simple birthday celebration at my parents' place. We ordered a birthday cake from Secret Recipe - Red Velvet. Everyone loved it and praised it was the best cake ever eaten *wink*

My mum cooked her special noodles, fried prawn fritters and made a cold potato-egg-bacon salad. We bought KFC fried chicken, some slaw and nuggets (for the kids) and a roast duck. There was too much food in the end, and everyone had to pack home.

The birthday boys didn't want to blow candles and cut the cake because they were glued to grandpa's laptop showing their favourite shows recorded from YouTube.

So mummy only managed to snap a picture with G, boohoo!

Sharing Is Caring

I first got to know from Claire from her post on eczema. Thanks Claire! Anyway, I got my Marine Elements and started using them immediately.

P/S, please ignore the dents on the intensive cream, it (the packaging) was crushed under the box when it reached me.

You see, hubby has some red patches of eczema on his head, it's due to stress and it won't go away, the skin specialist says, but it can be controlled with medicine, cream and shampoo. Currently, he is using some green yucky slimy shampoo, I don't know what they contain, but the smell is very unpleasant. And hubby is using it for long term. I really don't know what will be the effects if used long term. But those has to do, to control the patches from spreading and getting redder.

I, on the other hand, have mild eczema every now and then. There will be red patches on my face and neck and I'm currently using steroid cream bought from the pharmacy.

Then Marine Elements came. It is a range of non-steroidal, paraben-free skin care products with active ingredient ZonaseX to help improve the appearance of dry, itchy, irritating and inflamed skin conditions, such as eczema and dermatitis. Marine Elements products are hypoallergenic and suitable for people of all ages, including babies, children and people with sensitive skins.

Let's jump straight to the results, shall we?

Some improvements you see there. Little by little everyday, fingers crossed.

You can get know more about Marine Elements or if you want, you can purchase it from here. Sharing is caring!
