Rant

Rant post ahead.

G's nursery is having extended Raya holidays for one whole week, from 20th til 24th July. So I had no choice but to ask for my mum's help to takecare of G for the whole week. She agreed and has no problem with that.

She brought G out to shopping malls and restaurants alone. Ok, I don't mind that. Without the car seat. Ok, I try to "close eyes" on that too. If the shopping mall is too faraway from home, she calls a cab and bring G along, alone. Ok, that one too I won't say anything. She cannot "sit still", I understand.

But now, I want to rant on this one. G has not poo-ed for two days. Finally yesterday night, mum reported through Whatsapp and said finally G has poo-ed.

I replied, "Good, thank God".
She replied, "I pumped him".
***The "pump" is enema, small "pump" filled with liquid medicine to be inserted into the anus to stimulate poo-ing.

My mood was alright the whole evening until she told me about this. He doesn't have any constipation problem, just late in poo-ing, why can't she just wait? She could feed some bananas, or give more water. Why she wanted to interfere with the pump? Oh God, please don't let her start with this pump thing, G still has 3 more days with her there. I really hate dislike it when mum behaves like she knows best and "lek mm chit" (pandai-pandai).

Hubby asked me not to argue with her in Whatsapp anymore, else if she says, "If you are so papai, then just come and pickup your son home", then die. True. I stopped the conversation, tried to forget everything and went to bed.

Ok, I know I should be thankful as I still have my parents here with me, and I can ask for their help if there's any emergency cases, like this one. But....... having an "educated" and "modern" mum and who can't "sit still" at home, erm, stress. I prefer the nursery than mum's place. Really.

Ok bye!

"Same Thing" Day

Am being very honest. Am running out of stuffs to write. So I just randomly take photos of my boys last weekend, and blog about them, haha.

This was their breakfast last weekend. Am getting very lazy now to even fry an egg for them, let alone making pancakes. So they just get a cupcake, yoghurt and a Vitagen each. All from the packet, no cooking required.

After breakfast, it's playtime. I will sit and relax on the sofa watching Astro, while they play and watch YouTube on the tablet. G is not so sticky now as he is bigger already, so I get my TV time for a while, before he makes noise and request for Baby Einstein (on the dvd player).

I'll cook lunch around 10.45am - boil rice, heat up leftover-soup-in-a-jar and steam egg. If you want to see how it looks like, here you go. I only keep the soup in the jar, I took out all the "liew" already.

Not bad, finished all also.

After lunch, nap time for them. G naps outside, while Kz naps inside the room.

Ok, what's after this? Usual lah, by now, you should have known already. Hubby back around 2pm, the boys wake up, we go to mil's place, hang around until dinner, and come back lah, what else.

Ooh, I'll do the laundry, take a rest, and zzzz.

Ok, bye!

Monday

This is the first time I blog about Monday at work. But before that, let me show you some of G's picture, before he had his haircut.

I have always wanted to cut his hair but I don't know how. So it's best to bring him to the barber to cut his hair. RM5 only per cut, so why not?

Ok, botak-ed !!

Nice?

Anyway, it was Dong Zhi yesterday, so we had some fun in the office by making "tang yuan" together, and boil them in ginger+pandan leave+sugar syrup.

I know, one day late, but my blog, my sukak, my like!
Happy Dong Zhi everyone !

Mummy Must Be Crazy

"You must be crazy", said my colleague when he saw this:

Yep, I bought this tea-party set, for fun, for the boys. Errr, maybe for myself more, teehee.

Back home that evening, I took out the set and gave it to G, he was excited (of course) and tried to take out the fruit in the package.

G was having fun with the play set and I think he loves the kettle the most. I kept singing "I'm a little teapot short & stout"...

He kept playing...

and playing...

Ok, time to pack and tidy up the toys. Bedtime!

Goodnight, bye!
Psstt, mummy must be crazy!

Sexy Legs Again?

I don't know if it's appropriate to post this photo coz I'm my legs are so sexy here *ahem*

After Kz treated my legs as a highway and crashes his monster truck into my legs last week, he decided to "crush" into me again, this time together with his brother! Ouch!

But honestly I felt good when they "crushed" and bumped on my back, my bones, yes, they felt painful at first, but after those crackling & brittling boney sounds, eh, felt very nice pulak. I think I'm old already and I need people to massage my back.

Maybe I should ask them to do this often, to massage my bones, LOL.

Fresh & G

This post is about two types of "Fresh" and also my G, of course.

G has been coughing (with phlegm) for the past one month, he is very prone to phlegm, and when he coughs (with phlegm), I'd get very scared coz he would cough, and then *eeekkk* vomit already. But people say it's good babies know how to "cough out" (vomit) the phlegm, rather than "keeping" inside.

As usual, one afternoon, G is having his afternoon nap.

Then, he coughs. One time. I'm ready already. I'm already holding the potty next to me, waiting for his second cough. Then before I can hear his second cough, he vomited on the bed already. Arrrgh, I got no choice but to wake him up, change his clothes and bedsheet right away. I bet you can imagine the smell.

Then I remember I have a bottle of Bed Fresh which I put in G's room. I grabbed it, and sprayed on the mattress.

Bed Fresh is designed to eliminate mites and bed bugs, it also has sanitizing effect to get rid of any bad smell on the bed, couch, curtains, everything. Bed Fresh is: biodegradable, has fresh fragrance, eliminate odors, non toxic, safe for kids, safe for pets and MOST importantly (for me, coz I have mild OCD), it's anti bacterial.

And, few days ago, I gave a bottle of Ze Fresh to my hubby for him to spray in his car. His car stinks! No, not from smoke (he doesn't smoke), but he sweats a lot, and the whole car stinks. Imagine all his sweat absorbed into the cushions. Ze Fresh is proven to protect against bacterias and it is designed to help absorb all kinds of nasty odor.

No, I'm NOT advertising for these products, and no, am NOT selling these products too, but I share it in my post today because I feel all, yes, I mean ALL households need things like these, especially if you have kids (they vomit and spill food/drinks everywhere, on the couch, bed or even in the car), you would find these products useful.

It's available in Village Grocer @ Sunway Giza mall, or contact mandy.plincco.com, or just call Mandy at +6012 396 6388 (to see if you get anything free, again, teehee).

Oh, back to my G pie, here's G, making his manja face each time he wakes up from his nap. He still  loves to lie on my chest and sticks to me like a koala, and I'm sure I will miss this feeling when he stops sticking to me like this anymore one day.

Ignore my ugly face, ugly hair and ugly pyjamas. I look like this at home most of the time.

Ordinary

A post before the upcoming holidays.

Many people I know are already making plans where to go, what to eat, where to eat, even where to go for a short day-trip. But for Princess Ribbon here, it makes no difference. Still another ordinary day. Means, I'm staying at home taking care of the kids again. Boring?

Back to the kids, if they don't fight, I am happy. It's tiring to be alert and keep an eye, especially after what happened to G. But well, am not complaining, this is what I have to do, as parents, comes together in the package if I want to have kids.

G's not interested with toys or the TV. When Kz is playing with something, G comes and attack, and vice-versa. So, they fight - all the time. Here's their rack. Would you be interested with this? Do you find it impossible that G doesn't even like one thing from this loot?

Ok, now come lunch. Lunch when I'm alone is simple. I only cook simple food. I will be making something like this - again. Soupy noodles with egg and assorted balls. Boring?

After the kids nap, my turn to eat. No, I don't sleep when the kids sleep. That's the time for me to eat and do house chores. I don't eat instant noodles all the time, but if I want something fast (so that I can start doing my house chores) this is the easiest thing I can whip up - Mamee Chef tomyam instant noodles! *Slurp*

Yep, I'll be eating this in my smelly pyjamas, oily face, messy hair, oohh with a stinky mouth too. *I only brush my teeth when I shower in the afternoon after both of them nap*

So dear readers, I guess this is how my holiday will look like - from this Saturday until next Wednesday. Happy holidays!

Our Sunday

This post is about kid's food and kid's faces again, coz really, I stay at home ALL the time. Even if we go out, it's either to the mil's or to my mum's.

Anyway, my Sunday begins with preparing food for the kids. For a change, I didn't cook porridge that day. I made pancakes with strawberry jam, scrambled eggs, cut up some oranges and made a cup of Nestum for Kz.

As for G, I let him hold some pancakes and he loves it.
P/S: Can you see the scar on his forehead? Yep, the stitches are healing, but there's still a scar. Sigh.
Oh, you didn't know what happen to him? Here.

The picky eater slowly enjoying his breakfast, but I don't think he could finish all. Well at least he ate SOME of it.

After he left the dining table, this was what left. Better than no eat at all, yes?

What? No more? But the title is "Our Sunday". So what happens after breakfast? The same old thing - they watched TV, then nap, then lunch, then play, then nap again and ta-daaa, night time already, everybody sleep.

That's my life.

Routine

Simple post today. This was saved in my draft before G got sick. Short one. Sunday. Nothing special. Routine.

First thing when the kids wake up, drawing on the Doodle board, playing blocks, alphabet foams, number foams, the usual ABC-123 thingy, G chewing on flash cards and book corners. I serve breakfast at 7.30am. Porridge for G, and oats for Kz (if there's no bribe), else, I would feed both the same porridge. After breakfast, I steamed Milo cupcakes again, *backside itchy*.

Shower time around 8am. I now shower them together to save time ever since G started walking and could balance himself while standing.

YouTube time after shower. G naps after that. I do house chores and prepare lunch while he naps. Kz would sit at his corner happily with his tablet, a bowl of Koko Crunch, yogurt and juice. I would be watching the Korean drama -  "The Sun Embracing The Moon" at this time.

Lunch at 11.30am. Both naps after lunch. Here's G, asleep in the stroller. Don't ask. I need the stroller to make him sleep.

Fast forward, prepare to cook dinner around 4.30pm.

 #1 - My trademark oyster-sauce-tomato-sauce roast chicken

#2 - Vegetables with glass vermicelli & fried fuzhuk

#3 - Simple steamed fish with ginger slices & tomatoes

I do more when I'm at home - during the weekend or when there's a holiday (and hubby needs to work). Am sure most (mummies) agree with me. When I'm working (in the office), I do less, and more relaxed . Afterall I spend most of the day in the office, and by the time I get home, it's already evening *guilty confession*. Anyway, am not complaining. It's normal becoming a slave playmate and play"maid" for the kids :)

Janji everyone hepi!

G's Story

Not sure if readers would like to know what happened to G, but I'm writing for my own record.

26.05.2014, Monday - G had his MMR jab as scheduled (1 year old vaccine)
27.05.2014, Tuesday - G didn't have appetite and seemed to be less active than usual. Was it the effect from MMR?
28.05.2014, Wednesday - G woke up with one side swollen eye and a fever. Took him to the paed, was given antibiotics due to throat infection. Rectum tablet inserted to control his high fever.
29.05.2014, Thursday - G did not get any better and his fever did not subside. Rectum tablet inserted to control his high fever.
30.05.2014, Friday - G's not getting any better. Temperature spiked up to 39.8 degrees and we were uncomfortable with the rectum tablet already. Decided to admit him to the hospital. Throat very swollen with white spots. His hand was hooked up with the IV line from Friday til Monday.

02.06.2014, Monday - Throat cleared. Discharged.

Went home. High fever came again. Rectum tablet inserted. Temperature came back at night, I kept sponging his head and forehead to control the temperature.
03.06.2014, Tuesday - Temperature spiked up to 39.3 in the morning. Rectum tablet inserted. Seek 2nd opinion. Went to another doctor. Recommended by hubby's boss, this doctor is very popular with kids having high fever (and not subsiding) and all. Came back in the afternoon, took the medicine and the fever never came back! If I'd known earlier, I would have brought G to this doctor, and he didn't need to be admitted.

Just when we thought the nightmare was finally over, G fell from the bed, knocked his head, back to the hospital again, and received 3 stitches! The hospital had to call the neurosurgeon and the anesthetist. I felt like killing myself.
04.06.2014, Wednesday - Recuperating.
05.06.2014, Thursday - Better.
06.06.2014, Friday - Better.

I'm back to work on Monday, 09.06.2014, G's with my mum for a week. Too tired to write anything else.

Sunday, 1 June 2014

Pause

I'll pause a while in my blog and also commenting in other blogs. G was admitted due to high fever from tonsilitis. I need your hugs & prayers. See you once I'm back on my feet.

Farm In The City

It was Sunday. The time was 10.45am. Hubby was lying on the bed, Kz was jumping on him up & down, up & down. G just woke up from his morning nap. I was nagging Kz to stop jumping on the bed and to watch out for G, who was slowly crawling up to the bed as well. Hubby said "It's ok, let him be, it's family day". Family day? Rang a bell. Why don't you take us out, I asked. Where, he asked. Hmm, Farm In The City? Not very far from us. Ok, let's go, he said!

We reached after 25 minutes drive.

We didn't take the stroller. So I used the "kangaroo pouch" to carry G around. Ok, sorry for being long-winded, it's called baby-wearing ~ Carrier.

Kz had fun seeing turtles, birds, fishes, rabbits, guinea-pigs, ponies, reptiles.

I was sweating so I didn't pay attention to the animals. I was just hoping to go home as soon as possible, but I didn't whine or complain, because I was the one who wanted to come. So not many pictures ya, sorry.

Oohh, a family photo with the giant tortoise. We chose this photo to be converted into a mug as a souvenir before we left the place.

Ok, bye!
