Please, I Want Somemore

Nothing, I just feel this picture really looks like the famous Oliver Twist's, "Please, I want somemore" tagline, haha.

Hubby sent this picture to me while I was driving home from work. I was stuck in the traffic jam for nearly 2 hours. He was at home, feeding the boys, and that day, they had spaghetti with bacon and mushroom sauce.

Kz finished his food and proudly showed his dad his empty bowl (he didn't ask for more). Hubby captured that face that very moment and to me, it really looks like he wants more food, with that sad face, and licking tongue somemore, haha.

But in reality, he already finished a big bowl of spaghetti, showed his dad the empty bowl, then happily continued watching his monster trucks in Youtube :)

"Same Thing" Day

Am being very honest. Am running out of stuffs to write. So I just randomly take photos of my boys last weekend, and blog about them, haha.

This was their breakfast last weekend. Am getting very lazy now to even fry an egg for them, let alone making pancakes. So they just get a cupcake, yoghurt and a Vitagen each. All from the packet, no cooking required.

After breakfast, it's playtime. I will sit and relax on the sofa watching Astro, while they play and watch YouTube on the tablet. G is not so sticky now as he is bigger already, so I get my TV time for a while, before he makes noise and request for Baby Einstein (on the dvd player).

I'll cook lunch around 10.45am - boil rice, heat up leftover-soup-in-a-jar and steam egg. If you want to see how it looks like, here you go. I only keep the soup in the jar, I took out all the "liew" already.

Not bad, finished all also.

After lunch, nap time for them. G naps outside, while Kz naps inside the room.

Ok, what's after this? Usual lah, by now, you should have known already. Hubby back around 2pm, the boys wake up, we go to mil's place, hang around until dinner, and come back lah, what else.

Ooh, I'll do the laundry, take a rest, and zzzz.

Ok, bye!

Class Party

Just a short post to tell you that Kz had his year end class party last Friday, and I made potato and egg salad with cherry tomatoes. I know (most) kids don't like tomatoes, but I thought a little red would look really nice on top of the plain salad.

I also prepared some goodies for the teachers. I packed a lolli-towel and heart-shaped soaps with a small sweet note inside. The lolli-towels are actually face towel wrapped in the shape of a lollipop. I bought them at a (wedding) favour shop.

Ta-daa, the goody bags for teachers.

Ok, bye!

Bitten

Bitten. Sounds like a dracula/vampire post.

Nah, it's about Kz. No, he wasn't bitten by anyting (or anyone), but his classmate was bitten by HIM the other day!

The teacher whatsapp-ed me and told me Kz bit his classmate on his shoulder. Goodness, of all places, the shoulders? Now, that really looks like a vampire bite mark.

That night, we talked to Kz and told him it wasn't right biting others and stuffs like that. We sent him to sit at one corner, to think about what he has done. Seems to work a little, he was quiet the whole night, and he had that I-am-sorry-I didn't-mean-it look.

But yesterday, when I picked him up from the school, the teacher told me that Kz tried to bite his classmate again. Oh dear :(

You know, I use the cane too, but not all the time. For this case, this time, the cane doesn't work.

Sexy Legs Again?

I don't know if it's appropriate to post this photo coz I'm my legs are so sexy here *ahem*

After Kz treated my legs as a highway and crashes his monster truck into my legs last week, he decided to "crush" into me again, this time together with his brother! Ouch!

But honestly I felt good when they "crushed" and bumped on my back, my bones, yes, they felt painful at first, but after those crackling & brittling boney sounds, eh, felt very nice pulak. I think I'm old already and I need people to massage my back.

Maybe I should ask them to do this often, to massage my bones, LOL.

Monster Truck Crashed Into Sexy Legs

Lately, Kz is into monster trucks, Bigfoot 5.
Wait, trucks have names too?

He watches a lot of monster trucks in the tube and he always says, "Monster truck car crash" or "Bigfoot 5 in action". Call me jakun, I don't know how a monster truck looks like until I see it in the tube (with him).

Last week, we were shopping for groceries, and Kz spotted a monster truck. It was cheap, less than RM12, so yeah, I got one for him.

That night, he lined up all his cars and trains and whatever on my sexy beautiful legs and treated my legs as some sort of a highway, then used his monster truck to crash on those poor cars.

Well, a monster truck is supposed to work that way, isn't it? To crash all the poor cars underneath it ~ LOL.

If I could drive a monster truck in KL, I would. Then everyone on the road (including the traffic police) would be so afraid of me and give way to me, like a VIP.

The Phone Call

The school called around 4.30pm. I was working. My heart skipped a beat. Each time, when Kz's school or G's nursery calls, it's not a good thing. Never a good thing.

I was prepared, it's either:
1) Fever
2) Something else

Principle: Mrs. Wong, this is Cathy, your son knocked on the cabinet, we already applied "wong yok sui", it was bleeding justnow, but now it looks alright, but I still need to inform you.

Me: Wait, kena where?

Principle: The area between his eye and eye brow.

Me: WHAT ???!!! Kena eyes or NOT?

Principle: No, no, no, no kena eyes. He was running around with a friend, then he knocked on the cabinet.

Me: *paused* What should I say, takkan I scold the school?
Ok, I understand these things bound to happen, hope the teachers can keep an eye on them in future.

Principle: There were two teachers taking care of them, keeping an eye, but everything happened too fast, you know la, kids. So just to inform you ya.

Me: Can whatsapp me his photos now? I want to see how deep is the cut.

Principle: Ok, no problem.

And she whatsapp-ed these photos to me. Maybe it looks ok to you, or it's not that deep/serious, but what happens if he hits the eye?

I believe the teacher asked him to smile and pose for the camera. I could imagine the teacher telling him "Kz, please smile for the camera, your mummy wants to see your face, please look like you are very happy".

Ok, sorry, I'm being suspicious.

I applied some tea tree oil on him that night. The cut looks ok now. I think there will be a scar, coz he scratches and peels the "crusty thingy" a few times, and now it's "wet" again, without that "crusty thingy". But well, not complaining, as long as he remains healthy, happy and safe everyday.

Ordinary

A post before the upcoming holidays.

Many people I know are already making plans where to go, what to eat, where to eat, even where to go for a short day-trip. But for Princess Ribbon here, it makes no difference. Still another ordinary day. Means, I'm staying at home taking care of the kids again. Boring?

Back to the kids, if they don't fight, I am happy. It's tiring to be alert and keep an eye, especially after what happened to G. But well, am not complaining, this is what I have to do, as parents, comes together in the package if I want to have kids.

G's not interested with toys or the TV. When Kz is playing with something, G comes and attack, and vice-versa. So, they fight - all the time. Here's their rack. Would you be interested with this? Do you find it impossible that G doesn't even like one thing from this loot?

Ok, now come lunch. Lunch when I'm alone is simple. I only cook simple food. I will be making something like this - again. Soupy noodles with egg and assorted balls. Boring?

After the kids nap, my turn to eat. No, I don't sleep when the kids sleep. That's the time for me to eat and do house chores. I don't eat instant noodles all the time, but if I want something fast (so that I can start doing my house chores) this is the easiest thing I can whip up - Mamee Chef tomyam instant noodles! *Slurp*

Yep, I'll be eating this in my smelly pyjamas, oily face, messy hair, oohh with a stinky mouth too. *I only brush my teeth when I shower in the afternoon after both of them nap*

So dear readers, I guess this is how my holiday will look like - from this Saturday until next Wednesday. Happy holidays!

Our Sunday

This post is about kid's food and kid's faces again, coz really, I stay at home ALL the time. Even if we go out, it's either to the mil's or to my mum's.

Anyway, my Sunday begins with preparing food for the kids. For a change, I didn't cook porridge that day. I made pancakes with strawberry jam, scrambled eggs, cut up some oranges and made a cup of Nestum for Kz.

As for G, I let him hold some pancakes and he loves it.
P/S: Can you see the scar on his forehead? Yep, the stitches are healing, but there's still a scar. Sigh.
Oh, you didn't know what happen to him? Here.

The picky eater slowly enjoying his breakfast, but I don't think he could finish all. Well at least he ate SOME of it.

After he left the dining table, this was what left. Better than no eat at all, yes?

What? No more? But the title is "Our Sunday". So what happens after breakfast? The same old thing - they watched TV, then nap, then lunch, then play, then nap again and ta-daaa, night time already, everybody sleep.

That's my life.

Routine

Simple post today. This was saved in my draft before G got sick. Short one. Sunday. Nothing special. Routine.

First thing when the kids wake up, drawing on the Doodle board, playing blocks, alphabet foams, number foams, the usual ABC-123 thingy, G chewing on flash cards and book corners. I serve breakfast at 7.30am. Porridge for G, and oats for Kz (if there's no bribe), else, I would feed both the same porridge. After breakfast, I steamed Milo cupcakes again, *backside itchy*.

Shower time around 8am. I now shower them together to save time ever since G started walking and could balance himself while standing.

YouTube time after shower. G naps after that. I do house chores and prepare lunch while he naps. Kz would sit at his corner happily with his tablet, a bowl of Koko Crunch, yogurt and juice. I would be watching the Korean drama -  "The Sun Embracing The Moon" at this time.

Lunch at 11.30am. Both naps after lunch. Here's G, asleep in the stroller. Don't ask. I need the stroller to make him sleep.

Fast forward, prepare to cook dinner around 4.30pm.

 #1 - My trademark oyster-sauce-tomato-sauce roast chicken

#2 - Vegetables with glass vermicelli & fried fuzhuk

#3 - Simple steamed fish with ginger slices & tomatoes

I do more when I'm at home - during the weekend or when there's a holiday (and hubby needs to work). Am sure most (mummies) agree with me. When I'm working (in the office), I do less, and more relaxed . Afterall I spend most of the day in the office, and by the time I get home, it's already evening *guilty confession*. Anyway, am not complaining. It's normal becoming a slave playmate and play"maid" for the kids :)

Janji everyone hepi!

First Term Over

Kz's school gave us back these books. These was first term's books. Second term will start in June. So the other day, I was going through these books, I thought I could learn a little Mandarin as well, so I picked book #1 (there were 5 books, can you see?). I was expecting simple Mandarin First Words kinda thing like "wo" (me), "ni" (you), "jia" (house). But I was wrong, these Mandarin books straightaway started with sentences! I wonder how 3 year-old kids memorize the characters.

Anyway, I prepared these for the teachers. The kindy will be celebrating Children's Day together with Teacher's Day. These are just packs of oat bars wrapped with a note inside and a self-coloured tag from Kz. Hope the teachers like it.

And, these are the cupcakes I ordered from the home-baker (in my condo) for the class party. Kids are advised to dress in party clothes and I think they are gonna have party, food, fun and all the sugar rush all day long. I hope the teachers and all the kids will be happy :)

Here is the happy boy that morning. When he sees the cupcakes, he says he wants to go to school, haha.

Farm In The City

It was Sunday. The time was 10.45am. Hubby was lying on the bed, Kz was jumping on him up & down, up & down. G just woke up from his morning nap. I was nagging Kz to stop jumping on the bed and to watch out for G, who was slowly crawling up to the bed as well. Hubby said "It's ok, let him be, it's family day". Family day? Rang a bell. Why don't you take us out, I asked. Where, he asked. Hmm, Farm In The City? Not very far from us. Ok, let's go, he said!

We reached after 25 minutes drive.

We didn't take the stroller. So I used the "kangaroo pouch" to carry G around. Ok, sorry for being long-winded, it's called baby-wearing ~ Carrier.

Kz had fun seeing turtles, birds, fishes, rabbits, guinea-pigs, ponies, reptiles.

I was sweating so I didn't pay attention to the animals. I was just hoping to go home as soon as possible, but I didn't whine or complain, because I was the one who wanted to come. So not many pictures ya, sorry.

Oohh, a family photo with the giant tortoise. We chose this photo to be converted into a mug as a souvenir before we left the place.

Ok, bye!

Steamed Cupcakes Again?

Sometimes the TV works, sometimes it doesn't.

G is a very sticky baby and he glues to me like a koala. I cannot do anything with him around, not even go pee or poo, really! If I really need to poo, I need to open the toilet door wide, and he would wait faithfully in front of me, watching me! Yes, watching me poo.

Anyway, on one "peaceful & quiet" morning (coz both Kz & G are not fighting), I was feeling "itchy" to steam cupcakes again, this time not using Milo, but cheese as I have one slice of cheese left in the fridge. Could have just eaten it by myself, but like I said, I was feeling "itchy". I "invented" and "agak-agak" in my ingredients (again), and came up with my steamed cheese cupcakes

For ahem, presentation and also to attract Kz, I topped the cupcakes with chocolate chips before steaming.

Kids are easy to please (in Kz's case, if there are Kinder-egg, Koko Crunch or trucks, or anything chocolate). Kz looks very happy with the cake.

I'm not praising myself, but if you see him eating something, means that something is good.

Fast forward, ok, time to nap. Zzzzzz. Sleep longer, babies, kay? And mummy can finally have some me-time and peace.

A Simple Birthday

G turned one two weeks ago and Kz just turned three. We had a simple birthday celebration at my parents' place. We ordered a birthday cake from Secret Recipe - Red Velvet. Everyone loved it and praised it was the best cake ever eaten *wink*

My mum cooked her special noodles, fried prawn fritters and made a cold potato-egg-bacon salad. We bought KFC fried chicken, some slaw and nuggets (for the kids) and a roast duck. There was too much food in the end, and everyone had to pack home.

The birthday boys didn't want to blow candles and cut the cake because they were glued to grandpa's laptop showing their favourite shows recorded from YouTube.

So mummy only managed to snap a picture with G, boohoo!
